Senior tickets

Everyone over 65 years may purchase a senior ticket and have a 50% discount Mondays to Thursdays (however not on major days of travel: Wednesday before Easter, Maundy Thursday, Easter Monday, the day before "St. bededag" (fourth Friday after Easter), the day before and Ascension Day, Whit Monday and the period from 22 Dec. to 1 Jan. inclusive). 

On Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays and on major days of travel, seniors may have a discount of 25%. 

Age documentation must be produced on demand. 

Persons who are paid a pension according to the Danish Act on Social Pensions may also purchase a senior ticket, regardless of age if they can produce an identity card. Such identity cards are available free of charge at stations and similar locations selling long-distance travel tickets. Please bring your pension notice (which must be less than one year old) and a passport-size photo.
